Why isn’t a new episode of This Is Poly on tonight, July 24th, 2026? Viewers were just getting immersed in the lives of the polycules, and then the series vanished from WeTV. So, what is replacing it, and when will it be back? Keep reading for more details.
This Is Poly Fascinates Viewers
This Is Poly became a trainwreck hit following the new season of Love After Lockup. It took one throuple from the series, Nita, Kami, and Trent, and created somewhat of a spinoff. Nita had been behind bars for a short stint, but it was not the first time. Therefore, the network took it upon itself to capitalize on the fact that she was in a polygamous relationship. Nita, Kami, and Trent joined four other polycules, and viewers were fascinated by the dynamics. As the season went on, more emerged about one polycule in particular, the Yahwehs.
They have been deemed more of a cult than anything, with past wives speaking up and out. Moreover, old contracts have been exposed, and there is something suspicious going on. There are also Marley and Bri, who have a goal of an infinite number of women they hope to pursue. Then, BQ & Tehmeena Afzal are working toward getting beyond cheating through polyamory. Everyone knows how well that works out. It culminated with a failed commitment ceremony between Nita, Trent, and Kami.
Rather, they had a party, while Marley finally filed for divorce and is free to be with Bri and whomever else. Finally, the Yahweh family lost a baby, which, love them or not, is heartbreaking. It feels like there is so much more to see, but Season 1 of This Is Poly is over; hence why it is not airing tonight.
Will It Be Back?
There is no official word as to whether This Is Poly will be back for a second season. Some cast members are fully on board, which is great for fans. However, that does not mean WeTV will renew it. They still have to wait for all of the streaming numbers to come through, and then they can make an educated decision. As for what will air in its place, this week will be a repeat of Love After Lockup, so if the first airing is missed, never fear. Viewers did have a lot to say about the Season 1 finale of This Is Poly, and they were not holding back:
- I hope season 2 has been greenlit and actively looking for more
trainwreckswonderful examples of poly relationships. - I’m simultaneously happy to be done with this deranged garbage show but I’m also low key gonna miss it.
There was a lot of sadness that the Yahweh baby did not make it, but many questions linger about the family. It will be interesting to see if there is a Season 2 of This is Poly and who comes back with it.
