‘American Idol’ Majorly Fails With New Voting, Fans Annoyed

American Idol has majorly failed with their new voting system, and fans are annoyed about it all. This is the first year that American Idol has done the voting this way. However, fans are not loving it and have noticed some flaws with the system. This season has not been the best, and a lot of viewers are over it already. There is a lot to unfold and uncover. Favorites Go Home, Others Stay, Fans Confused

There is a lot of confusion and upset going on this season. American Idol fans are noticing that the results each week are shocking. Fan favorites are being sent home. A lot of people feel like the talent is being eliminated, and the mediocre are getting to stay in the competition. However, a lot does not make sense to fans, and they want answers. It has become more apparent with each week that goes on that the results are not going to be expected.

American Idol has majorly failed with their new voting system, and viewers are not happy about it at all. To vote, it is on a certain social media thread. However, if you misspell the name or do it in the wrong thread, your vote does not count. A lot of fans are noticing a pattern with this.

•  “The rules weren’t clear, but at the same time, they were too specific. A simple typo or extra letter could make it so a vote doesn’t count, and I know people would have a hard time finding which post to vote on.”
• “Something has got to be skewing the vote. I have never in my life watched a season and seen so many talented people go through while more mediocre people get by week after week.”
• “Every week look at the Facebook American idol post…. Filled with people trying to vote but doing it wrong. It’s a joke.”

Fans do not seem to want this system to stick around.

It seems as though people are misspelling the names and voting on the wrong thread. This immediately makes the votes void. So, a lot of people who are trying to vote are not getting theirs to count. It is safe to say that this is not the best voting option. The show may have to change it next year and not go back to the social media voting.
