Scarecrow Writer and Producer Launches a Wild New Halloween Rock Experience October 31 at My Father’s Place
ROSLYN, NY — October 31, 2026 — Forget the ordinary Halloween party. This year, John Blaze wants Long Island to dance with the dead.
The writer and producer behind Scarecrow is launching The Dead Dance Ball, an all-new Halloween live production combining rock ’n’ roll, costumes, theatrical spectacle and a dance floor filled with creatures of the night.
The show makes its debut October 31 at My Father’s Place in Roslyn, New York, turning Halloween night into a celebration where audiences aren’t simply invited to watch—they’re invited to become part of the show.

The Dead Dance Ball will feature a night of classic Halloween-themed live music, dancing, costumes and surprises, all wrapped inside the atmosphere of an old-school rock show collided head-on with a monster movie.
Blaze will serve as the night’s Master of Ceremonies, leading audiences through the festivities alongside Musical Director Paul Ranieri of Mark Wood. The evening will also feature vocal performances from Hanz of Hazel Gaze and Paul Mahos of New Life Crisis.
And costumes aren’t an afterthought.
Guests are encouraged to go all in, transforming My Father’s Place into a Halloween gathering populated by monsters, villains, ghosts, rock stars and whatever else crawls out of the darkness.
The idea behind The Dead Dance Ball is to capture something Halloween has always done better than almost any other holiday: give people permission to become somebody—or something—else for a night.
Add a live rock band, a packed dance floor and a room full of the undead, and October 31 suddenly gets a whole lot louder.
