Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and EP of the Year nods span the full breadth of Michaels’ artistry
Acclaimed entertainer, recording artist, author, and entrepreneur Irene Michaels has been officially recognized with three nominations at the 12th Annual Josie Music Awards, one of the most respected honors celebrating independent artists worldwide.
Michaels is nominated for Artist of the Year in the Pop/Pop Rock category, one of the evening’s marquee honors recognizing an artist’s overall body of work and impact. Her single “Younger (K’Alexi Shelby Klassik Filter Mix)” earned a nomination for Song of the Year in the Multi-Genre category, reflecting the track’s crossover appeal and dancefloor-ready production. Rounding out her three nominations, Michaels’ EP Golden is up for EP of the Year in the Pop/Pop Rock category, recognition for a full body of work rather than a single moment.
Taken together, the three nominations span every level of Michaels’ artistry: her presence as a performer, the strength of an individual single, and the vision behind a complete project. It continues a run of Josie recognition dating back to her 2023 win for Best Song of the Year with “I Like Rain.”
The 12th Annual Josie Music Awards ceremony will take place on September 20, 2026, at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, bringing together some of the finest independent musicians, performers, and industry professionals from around the world.
For Michaels, whose career spans film, television, music, publishing, and media, the triple nomination represents another milestone in a career defined by reinvention and longevity. As she prepares for the Grand Ole Opry House stage this September, Irene Michaels continues to prove that passion, determination, and creativity know no age limits.
