5 Horror Movies Involving Gambling & Casinos

    Date:

Ever since the first movie hit the screen, they’ve instantly become one of the most sought-after forms of entertainment. Aside form movies, gambling is also at the top of the list. So, it’s no wonder that movie makers decided to fuse these two together and make some amazing titles we all know and love.

Aside from the classic movies involving gambling, we’ve prepared a special treat for any horror fans out there. So, here are some of the best horror movies that involve gambling you should definitely check out.

    Leprechaun 3

This iconic 1995 hit is a third installment in the 8-part movie series revolving around the infamous Leprechaun – a bloodthirsty Irish spirit – and his quest to find his pot of gold. This amazing film is full of exaggerated dark humor. The entire movie is set in a Las Vegas casino, with gambling being the main backdrop. Since gambling nowadays seems to be more popular than ever, it’s no wonder that fans all over the world are flocking back to Leprechaun 3. So, the next time you decide to check a casino out, make sure you first learn more about it on reputable gambling sites, such as Casino Bros, to avoid potentially coming across this nasty little fella.

    Fright Night

The original Fright Night that came out way back in 1985 had no connections to gambling. Instead, it followed a story of a 17-year-old that quickly realized his new neighbor is actually a vampire. Of course, he tries to alert the others but nobody seems to believe him. In the end, the story boils down to our protagonist trying to fight the evil vampire with the help of a vampire slayer. The remake of this awesome movie – made in 2011, on the other hand, follows the similar story but the plot is set in none other than Las Vegas!

    The Haunted Casino

The Haunted Casino is the perfect blend of gambling and horror. Originally named The Dead Man’s Hand, this 2007 hit follows a story of some very unlucky individuals gambling in, you’ve guessed it – the haunted casino. Amazing plotline, unexpected twists and a great performance by unestablished actors make this B-grade movie entirely worth a watch. So, if you’re a true horror fan who enjoys gambling, make sure you check this title out.

    Spirits of the Dead

True horror fans are probably already familiar with this one, as the movie revolves around three spooky stories by the master of horror himself – Edgar Allan Poe. What actually got this 1969 horror classic on this list is the second story. The movie was dubbed from Italian to English when it was released in the UK and US. But if you don’t mind watching foreign movies, we strongly advise you to check out the original, undubbed version.

    Remains

Based on the Stephen Neal’s comic book, Remains is set in the post-apocalyptic world where a group of casino employees is trying to survive, battling against none other than zombies. The majority of the scenes is shot inside a casino. On top of that, the characters are commonly seen gambling as a way to pass some time. This excellent horror flick is a great choice for any zombie-lovers out there.

Any horror movie lovers that also enjoy gambling will have a real blast while checking some of these titles out. It’s important to keep in mind the year when these movies came out, as the technology used in them is nowhere near what we have today. So, the visual effects may be lacking a bit, but the overall plots are extraordinarily entertaining.
