Sheinelle Jones Reaches Huge Milestone In New Career
Sheinelle Jones has been in broadcasting since she graduated from Northwestern University. She got her start at a small station in Illinois before moving on to other cities, including Philadelphia. She joined the Today Show in 2014 and eventually worked her way up to co-hosting the show’s fourth hour with Jenna Bush Hager.
But reporting the news isn’t her only accomplishment. Sheinelle Jones published a book in April after delaying the release following her husband’s death last year. Through Mom’s Eyes is a collection of stories and advice from the mothers of some of the biggest celebrities today.

Today Host Auditioning For Next DWTS Season?
Many talk show hosts have successful ventures outside of their shows. Sheinelle Jones showed off another skill during the Today Show‘s first Citi Concert Series of 2026. Zara Larsson took the stage outside the Rockefeller Center to perform a few of her biggest hits. Her song “Lush Life” was released in 2015 but regained popularity in 2026, sparked by a viral TikTok dance trend.
The singer invited Sheinelle Jones to join her on stage during the performance of the viral hit. “So, for this part of the song, I like to bring someone up on stage with me. And I want to thank you so much to every one of you for making beautiful signs, but we have a special guest coming up with me this morning,” Zara Larsson told the crowd before introducing the Today Show host.

Zara Larsson told Sheinelle Jones to bring her “best energy” to perform the dance trend. The Today Show host sang along to the chorus before busting out impressive moves. She nailed every move, matching the singer’s energy.
Dancing With The Stars announced in April the names of the first two celebrities for Season 35. The popular reality dance competition returns to ABC this fall. The network hasn’t announced the remaining contestants, but Sheinelle Jones’ performance on the Today Show could be her audition.
