Jenna Bush Hager recently had a surprise for Sheinelle Jones during a recent episode of Today. At the time, she also introduced a new member of her family. However, the segment saved its biggest surprise for the very end.
Sheinelle Jones Introduced A Recent Segment On Today Before Jenna Bush Hager Stepped Into The Studio
Jenna first gained national attention through her family, being the daughter of the 43rd President of the United States, George W. Bush. Over the years, she has since made a name for herself as a journalist, working on Today, especially in her role co-hosting the Fourth Hour.
In her own personal life, Jenna has been married to Henry Hager since 2008. Together, the two share three children: Mila, Poppy, and Hal.
Recently, Jenna had a surprise for her Fourth Hour co-host, Sheinelle Jones. However, the moment started out with Sheinelle starting the show alone.
Walking onto the set, Sheinelle shared, “Today is a very big day here at Jenna & Sheinelle. And you may be wondering, ‘Well, where is Jenna, Sheinelle Marie?’ Well, let me tell you. Today is ‘National Cat Day.’ If you’ve been watching the show, you may have noticed Jenna’s love of cats.”
A montage then played of Jenna gushing over cats throughout her time on the show. Jones then asked, “Since we haven’t met one of Jenna’s furry children, would you like to meet one of Jenna’s furry children?” She then announced, “Alright, come on out, Jenna Bush Hager and Maisie Moo Bush Hager.”
Maisie Could Be Seen With A Few New Famous Fans Before The Segment Cut To Commercial Break
Jenna walked into the studio with her new furry friend. Jones, who previously expressed a fear of cats, shared, “Can I just tell you something? I host a nature show on Saturday mornings. I love animals.” Despite this, she admitted, “I have never held a cat.” However, she was soon given her first chance on the show.
The experience proved to be surprising for Jones, who compared holding Maisie to a stuffed animal. Maisie could even be heard mewing while relaxing in Sheinelle’s arms.
Jenna mused, “I think that she can roam free. Let’s not open the doors, but let’s just let Maisie do what she wants to do while we have our chat,” as she place Maisie on the ground, allowing her to roam around the studio. She then asked Sheinelle if the experience changed her mind about her fear of cats. She replied, “Uh, no.”
Maisie also had one more surprise before the show cut off to its commercial break. While backstage, she could briefly be seen being held by the cast of the new film, The Mosquito Bowl: Bill Skarsgård, Tom Francis, Nicholas Galitzine, and Ray Nicholson. This caused Jenna and Sheinelle to break out into laughter.
