Dreyer is a television meteorologist known for her work with NBC News, especially her work with Today. She is also known for her work with The Weather Channel and NBC Nightly News.
In her personal life, Dreyer married NBC News producer and cameraman Brian Fichera in 2012. The two share three sons together. However, in 2025, Dreyer announced that she and Fichera had separated. At the time, she shared that they would continue to co-parent their children together.
Recently, Dreyer sat down for an interview with Parents to discuss what it was like co-parenting with her ex. At the time, she expressed that some things seemed to have improved since the two divorced.
Dreyer shared, “I think our relationship is better with us not being married. We’re both the same people we always were, but without the things that went wrong in our relationship.”
Dreyer Noted That The Dynamic Can Get Complicated At Times, But Expressed The Thing She Wants Her Sons To Know Most
As the Today star explained, “And if you remove those from the relationship, there’s really nothing to fight over. If you think about your friendships, you don’t really fight unless something big happens between you two. So now it’s just easy, and I want our boys to see that.”
According to Dreyer, it was a top “priority” for her and Fichera to co-parent with joy and shared respect. She also wanted her kids to know that both of their parents love them just as much as they always have. She shared, “There’s still all that fun. There’s laughter. There’s all the good things when you take out whatever any couple is fighting about.”
In a way, Dreyer felt that this was somewhat therapeutic for her sons. As she shared, “For us, it’s what works, and the boys don’t see fighting. They see nothing but love.”
Dreyer noted that she and Fichera attend their son’s events together, such as baseball games. However, she acknowledged that their dynamic could get complicated. As she noted, “At the end of the game, we go our separate ways, and they see that it’s fine, because we’ll come together again the next day.”
