Counting On alums, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard, released some devasting baby news on April 14. Baby Frederick, AKA Freddy arrived safely in July of 2022, but he’s okay, so don’t panic. However, the news about the loss of a baby is very real. Read on to find out what happened to the former TLC couple.
Jill Duggar Was Pregnant Again
Counting On fans suspected that Derick’s wife was pregnant again last year. Despite her saying that she was done with giving birth, inquiring minds wanted to know if their suspicions were correct. She experienced a sad miscarriage in 2021, and the couple named the baby girl River Bliss. Now, the sad news arrived that they lost another little girl.
Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are still popular with TLC fans. Everything seemed to be perfect. He passed his bar exam and obtained a job as an attorney. Then, her book, Counting The Cost became a best-seller, allowing them to pay off their home. Furthermore, it seemed that she might be taking strides to repair relationships with her estranged family. But sadly, it all went bad this weekend.

Derick Dillard & Jill Announce The Loss Of A Baby Girl
Derick’s wife would have been about five months into her pregnancy when she lost her baby girl. On Instagram, the TLC alums shared a photo of a tiny baby cradled in their hands, and the caption was heartbreaking. The other kids, Israel and Samuel, aged 9 and 7 respectively, knew a new sibling was on the way.
Jill Duggar and Derick said in their joint post:
💔It is with heavy hearts that we announce the stillbirth of our beautiful baby girl, Isla Marie Dillard. Jill was 4 months pregnant (due in August) when we found out that our baby died in utero. From the moment we found out we were pregnant, we couldn’t wait to meet our baby. Isla was much loved from the start, and her 3 big brothers were so excited to introduce her to their world. We appreciate your prayers as we continue to grieve and heal from the loss of our little Isla Marie. 😭
