Jacob Elordi has had many famous roles throughout his career. However, one famous character might have been out of his grasp. An insider claimed that his romantic life might have cost him the role of 007 himself, James Bond.
Jacob Elordi Reportedly Didn’t Make It To Pinewood Studios’ James Bond Screen Tests
Elordi is an Australian actor who first rose to fame as Noah Flynn in Netflix’s The Kissing Booth franchise. He later gained further attention after he joined the HBO drama series Euphoriaas Nate Jacobs. In films, he is also known for 2025’s Frankenstein and 2026’s Wuthering Heights.
In his personal life, Elordi has been romantically linked to a number of figures over the years, including his co-hosts, like Joey King and Zendaya. He has also been paired with media personality Kendall Jenner.

However, an inside source has claimed that his romantic life might have gotten in the way of his professional life. Reportedly, Elordi was considered a contender for the role of James Bond. However, reports later claimed that he is no longer in the running and won’t participate in the final screen tests.
As Hollywood insider Rob Shuter explained on Maureen Callahan’s The Nerve podcast, “There were some screen tests at Pinewood Studios in London, and he wasn’t there. He didn’t make the screen test. Two months ago, his name was definitely in the mix. And I wanted to find out what happened.”
However, Shuter noted that he was personally confused by the news. As he mused, “He’s still as good-looking as he was two months ago. He’s still as talented, he’s still as charismatic, he’s still as tall. What happened in the last few months?”
Rob Shuter Claimed That The James Bond Bosses Were Even Worried About The Kardashians Overshadowing The Red Carpet Premiere
According to Shuter, “My insider said it was the Kardashians… They just don’t want it.” As Shuter noted, the Bond bosses did not want the franchise to get involved with the media circus concerning the Kardashian family.
Shuter noted that the Kardashians have indeed broken into many facets of the media. However, he noted, “Movie stars are movie stars, and Bond is the last remnant of that old Hollywood system, that old glamour.”

In particular, bosses were allegedly worried that the next 007 premiere could be eclipsed by the Kardashian-Jenner clan. Shuter noted, “They don’t want Kardashians on the red carpet… It’s a Kardashian. It’s a Jenner. We know who this family is; we know that they’ll make it all about themselves.”
Shuter continued, “We know that on the premiere of the Bond carpet, Kris Jenner will be there. They’ll probably be on the set videoing stuff for the reality show. And they just don’t want it.”

However, Shuter didn’t feel like Kendall necessarily deserved blame for this development. He shared, “He wasn’t going into this blind…and this is on him, too. It’s not just on Kendall.”
