Charli D’Amelio Becomes An Accidental Catfish Star
There are many times on Catfish when someone is talking to their potential love interest and they are not sure if that person is real. Enter Nev Schulman and Kamie Crawford to save the day. They then gather all of the information on this mystery person and take all of the snaps that have been sent. One of the first things that is done is an image search. It can tell if the person is really who they say they are, a stock image, or if it was stolen from elsewhere. This week, the hosts did not even have to try. They were contacted by Mohammed who went by the name Justin on his dating profile.
He met a woman named Ashley who he really liked but had not yet met up with her. Nev and Kamie came to Mohammed’s house to get all of the information on Ashley. They then asked to see a photo of her and host, Nev Schulman could not stop laughing. He turned the phone over to his co-host, Kamie Crawford and she was blown away. They could not believe that Mohammed had not caught on that Ashley had been catfishing him with photos of Charli D’Amelio.
He had no idea who she was and blamed it on his age. Viewers immediately headed to Twitter/X after this happened:

Catfish viewers knew it was Charli the moment the episode began. More so, Nev Schulman and Kamie Crawford joked that they had already solved the case the moment they saw the photo. Of course, they still had to figure out who Ashley was and why she was using Charli D’Amelio’s photos. As it turned out, it was someone that Mohammed had done business with in the past. She was using this dating app to track her ex and saw Mohammed on there. She was hoping to build a business relationship with him but he had no idea he was being used.
