Heated Rivalry Season 2 has expanded its cast by adding new cast members to its roster. The new members include Edvin Ryding and Schitt’s Creek star Emily Hampshire. The stars will be acting alongside the series’ original leads, Conner Storrie and Hudson Williams, and the two new co-leads, Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie.
As per Deadline, Hampshire, Ryding, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees, and Priyanka are set to star in Heated Rivalry Season 2. Hampshire is known for portraying the character Stevie Budd in CBC’s Schitt’s Creek. Moreover, the actress is set to star in Marvel’s VisionQuest.
Moreover, Ryding is best known for his role as the fictional Swedish Prince Wilhelm in the hit Netflix show Young Royals. The actor also starred in 28 Years Later, A Part of You, and The Abyss. Naylor, popular for Mile End Kicks, Detective Surprenant, and Cardinal, has also previously voice acted in Alice in Borderland and Waiting for the Storms.
Naylor will reunite with Jalees, who also starred in Mile End Kicks in the new season. Jalees is also known for acting in I Used to Be Funny, Black Mirror, and Doin’ It. She has also written many shows like Powerless and Crowded. Lastly, the Canadian singer, Priyanka, is a reality star known for Canada’s Drag Race, We’re Here, Drag Brunch Saved My Life, and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
The expanded cast adds fresh talent to the Heated Rivalry world
The new members will be joining the Heated Rivalry world with fresh characters from Rachel Reid’s novels.
In the new season, Robert Naylor will play the role of Wyatt Hayes, the starting goaltender for the Ottawa Centaurs. Moreover, it is reported that the show will star Hampshire as Vanessa, Ryding as Luca Haas, Jalees as Farah Jalali, and Priyanka as Tarek.
Previously, casting news of Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie was announced. They will play the new leads of the show, Harris Drover and Troy Barrett, respectively. Meanwhile, Storrie will return as Ilya Rozanov, and Williams will reprise his role as Shane Hollander.
Season 2 of Crave Media’s hit show is based on the author’s sixth novel, The Long Game. The new season is slated to release in April 2027.
