Searches for Miu Miu increased by 8 per cent in Q1 2024, with three Miu Miu pieces in the top 10 hottest products—a first for any Lyst Index brand, and a testament to the global obsession with Miu Miu products, The Lyst Index noted on its website.
The Lyst Index for Q1 2024 saw Italy’s Miu Miu reclaiming the top spot in the hottest brands list, jostling Prada into second rank.
Spain’s Loewe ranked third, while Milan-based Bottega Veneta ranked fourth.
French brand Saint Laurent, ranked fifth, entered the top 5 for the first time.
The 530 SL Sneaker by Miu Miu and New Balance was the hottest product.
Searches for Miu Miu from male shoppers on Lyst have increased by 88 per cent over the three months, while the collaboration sneaker with New Balance, this quarter’s hottest product, sold out in hours online.
Prada’s visibility surged with its 2024 re-Nylon campaign featuring Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch, alongside the introduction of the latest versions of the Buckle bag.
Loewe, the Spanish luxury fashion house specialising in leather goods, clothing, perfumes and other fashion accessories, ranked third, while Milan-based Bottega Veneta ranked fourth.
French brand Saint Laurent, ranked fifth in the list, entered the top 5 for the first time. Searches for its products increased by 10 per cent in the month following its fall/winter 2024 show at Paris Fashion Week, driven by demand for sunglasses and Le 5 à 7 bag, which has been worn by the likes of Hailey Bieber and Laura Harrier.
The appointment of Italian fashion designer Alessandro Michele as Valentino’s (ranked ninth) creative director sparked a significant 84 per cent spike in searches for the brand.
In the hottest products list, the 530 SL Sneaker was followed by New York label Khaite’s small Julius panel earrings (second), Miu Miu swim briefs (third) and Alaïa’s jewelled ballet flats (fourth).
Some brands made significant strides outside the top 20. US brand AREA saw a 37 per cent rise in searches this quarter, propelled by Taylor Swift’s endorsement of its crystal-embellished jeans.
