Irish brand Primark set to open second store in Italy’s Emilia Romagna

    Date:

Primark, the international fashion retailer, announces it will open a new store in Parma, Italy, as part of its wider expansion plans in the Italian market. This store will be located within the ‘Parma Retail’ shopping centre, close to the city centre.

This new store will be Primark’s second in the Emilia Romagna region, after Primark Bologna at ‘Shopville Gran Reno’ opened in 2022. Today, Primark has 15 stores across Italy, with its 16th store opening on 9th May at ‘To Dream’ urban district, Turin.

Primark, the international fashion retailer, reveals plans for a new store in Parma, Italy, set to open in 2026.
This expansion marks the brand’s commitment to providing affordable yet sustainable fashion options.
Luca Ciuffreda, Head of Primark Italy, expresses enthusiasm for broadening Primark’s reach in the region and offering its beloved fashion and essentials.

Primark Parma, currently scheduled to open in 2026, will span approx. 3,400 sq. metres of shopping space and will offer the fantastic in-store experience that Primark is known and loved for. Customers can look forward to shopping the latest trends in fashion across womenswear, menswear and kidswear as well as everyday essentials in beauty, lifestyle, homeware and accessories.

Primark is committed to offering more sustainable products at prices everyone can afford. Already 55% of Primark’s clothes are made using recycled or more sustainably sourced materials, and the retailer has committed to making this 100% by 2030.

Luca Ciuffreda, Head of Primark Italy, said: “We are delighted to have signed the lease for our second store in Emilia Romagna region, within the ‘Parma Retail’ shopping centre. We know that Primark is already a much-loved brand in the region, and we are pleased that we will be reaching even more customers with this new store. This store is part of our wider expansion plans in Italy, where we will soon grow to have 21 stores. At Primark, we are proud to offer something for everyone and we know that our new customers will love our incredible fashion and essentials at affordable prices.”

In 2022, Eurofund Group entered Italy with the agreement to acquire Parma Retail and transform it to Parma Promenade.

Ion Saralegui, Eurofund Group CEO, comments: “We are delighted to welcome such a globally recognised brand to Parma Retail. We have a track record of repositioning retail destinations across Europe and look forward to seeing our plans for Parma Promenade take shape.

“Our commitment to revitalising the public space aligns with our wider vision for creating not just a retail destination, but a vibrant community hub.”

Last year, Primark reaffirmed its commitment to Italy by announcing an investment of €50 million in its Italian business. As part of this investment, Primark will open five new stores in Turin, Livorno, Cosenza, Salerno and Genoa. Primark Parma is a further opening, which will bring its total footprint in the country to 21 stores.
