Jenna Bush Hager put Hoda Kotb on the spot about her obsession with a famous celebrity. Apparently, the Today host used to stalk a well-known comedian, waiting to see if she could catch him on the street. Now, Kotb finally met the star on the set of Today. So, who did Hoda Kotb admit to stalking? Keep reading to find out.

Hoda Kotb Admits To Stalking Seinfeld Star

Jerry Seinfeld made an appearance on Today with Hoda and Jenna. During his discussion with the two women, Jenna Bush Hager alerted him to Hoda Kotb’s past tendency to wait outside his apartment building.

The awkward topic came up during the show’s “Social Dilemmas” segment. Kotb warned Hager not to dive into her past, knowing she would probably be a bit embarrassed by what her co-host revealed.

Hoda Kotb told Seinfeld that she would provide him with more details about her obsession with him later. However, her co-host interjected saying, “She used to wait outside and just hope she could get a glimpse of you.”

Giving up, Kotb shared that she used to camp outside Jerry Seinfeld‘s apartment in New York City with her sister, Hala. She desperately wanted to meet him someday.

“We saw you at the Mets game on TV, and then we were like, ‘How long does it take to get back?’” she admitted. “Because I lived near where you used to live, according to sources and doormen. We would stand and wait. We figured, ‘Does he take the subway? Does he take a car?’”

Jerry Seinfeld Isn’t Bothered By ‘A Little Stalking’

While some celebrities would be put off by Hoda Kotb’s admission, it didn’t seem to bother Jerry Seinfeld. In fact, his reaction was rather sweet.

“This is the nicest thing I’ve heard all day. This makes me feel so good,” he told Kotb. Then Jenna Bush Hager asked, “And a little creeped?”

“No, no, I don’t mind a little stalking. A little stalking is okay!” Seinfeld laughed in response.

During their conversation, another famous comedian was brought up. Hoda Kotb asked Seinfeld if he saw Larry David’s appearance on the show. He confirmed that he had and Hager wanted to know what he thought about David’s “attack on Elmo.”

Kotb said that she found his attack on the Sesame Street character “sad,” but Jerry Seinfeld didn’t feel that way. “No, I liked it. I enjoyed that!” he said.

“Elmo is an American treasure!” Jenna Bush Hager exclaimed. The 69-year-old comedian responded, “Well, even treasures need a beating once in a while.”
