Bastille – No Bad Days (Live Performance)

Bastille – No Bad Days. An exclusive live performance for Vevo.

It’s 2022, and Dan Smith and Bastille are waxing philosophical. “So the future’s lost/but they can’t take your past,” sings the former English & Lit major in “No Bad Days,” which will appear on his group’s ‘Give Me The Future’ album, arriving February 4. The title bolsters the above observation that creatively, and perhaps personally as well, Bastille is pondering any time but the present. “survivin’” was one of the most incisive life-in-a-pandemic tracks of the COVID era. It also showcased the Brit band’s skill at blending indie-electro sounds into its pop palette. We’ve all lived through the brain-scrambling frustrations of the last two years, so when Smith looks into the camera and repeats “fuck ’em all” over and over again in this studio performance of “No Bad Days,” there’s no problem understanding his exasperated reaction to our blurry future.
