Blumhouse has released an exclusive red band trailer for their upcoming slasher film “Totally Killer.”
The film stars Kiernan Shipka as Jamie Hughes, a teenager who travels back to 1987 to try and prevent a masked killer from murdering her friends at a Sweet Sixteen party. The impressive cast also includes Julie Bowen, Olivia Holt, Randall Park, Lochlyn Munro, Charlie Gillespie, and Liana Liberato.
The totally killer trailer shows Jamie and her friends partying it up in 80s fashion before the masked killer begins to pick them off one by one in gory fashion. It’s a neon-drenched blast back to the golden era of slasher films.
“Totally Killer” marks the genre film directorial debut of Nahnatchka Khan, known for her comedy work on shows like “Always Be My Maybe” and “Young Rock.” The screenplay comes from writing team David Matalon & Sasha Perl-Raver and Jen D’Angelo, based on a story by Matalon & Perl-Raver.
Blumhouse has made a name for itself in recent years revitalizing the horror genre with hit films like “Get Out,” “The Invisible Man,” and “Halloween.” Judging by the stylish and blood-soaked trailer, “Totally Killer” looks to continue their hot streak and deliver a scary good time.
“Totally Killer” will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime starting October 6th, 2023. The red band trailer promises a film packed with nostalgia, gore, and neon-lit mayhem. Horror fans should mark their calendars to stream this slasher homage.
