‘The View’ Fans Blast Ana Navarro For Spreading ‘Lies’

Controversy is nothing new on The View. But this time, the backlash is louder than ever. Fans of the long-running show are taking aim at Ana Navarro, accusing her of spreading “lies.” Some argued that her comments crossed the line. Keep reading to find out more about the incident.

Mainstream Media Under Fire

The news media have suffered a crisis of reliability in recent years. President Trump often refers to the media as “fake news,” but the public’s distrust in news sources started years before Trump took office.

CBS recently revamped its nightly news program by promoting Tony Dokoupil to anchor CBS Evening News. The shocking change came amid several changes to the news department after CBS’s parent company merged with Skydance Media in August.

Shortly before the merger went through the network settled a $16 million lawsuit with President Trump over unfair editing of an interview with Kamala Harris during the 2024 election. The View hosts are harsh critics of the current administration. One host was blasted by viewers for spreading “lies” about a political topic.

The View Fans Blast Ana Navarro For Spreading ‘Lies’

Very few hosts of The View are as critical of President Trump as Ana Navarro. The Republican political commentator shocked viewers and her co-hosts by recently praising the President’s actions. She celebrated the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

“And for us, this is a very, very happy day when we see a dictator who has been part of oppressing and abusing the Venezuelan people for 25 years. When we see him in handcuffs and held to some sort of accountability, it brought me to tears. It brought me great joy,” she said.

However, her praise quickly turned back to criticism during a recent appearance on the show’s Behind the Table podcast. She spoke out against the tactics of bombing fishing boats that the Trump administration claims were trafficking drugs. The trafficking claims have yet to be corroborated, but they led to the U.S. capturing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and bringing him to New York to face drug trafficking charges.

During the podcast, The View producer Brian Teta asked if Ana Navarro would disagree with the tactics if former President Joe Biden were in charge or if Kamala Harris had won the election. Ana Navarro said that she would disagree with the decision, but would address it directly with the White House instead of on television.

A fan of the show took to Reddit to call Ana Navarro out for lying.

• “Ana Navarro let the mask slip on the podcast today – said that she’d make different public statements if a Harris administration was doing the same thing as a Trump administration. To people about to defend her – why do you want to watch a political commentator who admits she lies to you?”
