‘Teen Mom’ Kailyn Lowry Mourns Shocking Death

Kailyn Lowry Revealed Heartbreaking News In December

Kailyn Lowry has shared her personal life with fans since she was on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant over a decade ago. She returned to the reality series for eleven seasons of Teen Mom 2. Now 33, Kailyn Lowry lives in Middletown, Delaware, with her seven children.

Seven kids is a full house but the Teen Mom star is also a dog mom to several dogs. She got a Cane Corso puppy named Buddha back in 2020 while she was pregnant with her son, Creed. Kailyn Lowry reportedly also has another dog named Karma. The reality star lost a dog named Bear a few years ago. Sadly, another of her dogs has passed away.

The U.S. Sun reported that Kailyn Lowry shared the heartbreaking news with fans on her podcast earlier this week. She shared details of having to put her beloved dog to sleep after a shocking cancer diagnosis just last month.

Teen Mom Star Mourns Shocking Death

“The vet came to the house and he had his assistants with him and they gave Buddha some sedations so that he would not know what was going on and he just put his head in my lap,” the MTV star told listeners.

“And they just like, made sure that he was, you know, comfortable and everything and just surrounded by so much love and then they, like, gave us a few minutes with him and then the vet gave him whatever – whatever it is that makes them go to sleep and not wake back up and tested him – checked his heart and everything and they said that he was gone,” she shared.

Kailyn Lowry recalled moving her dog to his favorite location in her home. “He had this one spot on the couch and no one would sit there because Buddha always sat there. And so it’s always hair on that side of the couch and when the vet came in the house, I had said, you know, ‘Should we move him to his bed?’”

She told listeners that Buddha passed away peacefully on his bed in front of the fireplace. Kailyn Lowry admitted to wondering if she was doing the right thing, like many dog owners in the same situation.

Her Children’s Heartbreaking Reaction To Buddha’s Death

Kailyn Lowry’s children range in age from teenagers to just 2 years old. She welcomed twins in 2023. She shared that her children didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to Buddha.

Her oldest kids took the news hard, but her youngest ones didn’t really understand what was happening. “Valley and Rio are so funny because I’m like, ‘You know, they go in the sky when they pass away,’ and so now every single day, Valley is like, ‘Buddha’s in the sky!’”
