Demon Slayer fans have been waiting for the return of one of the biggest shows in anime right now. The wait is almost over. Recently, some massive bombshells have been hitting the internet in regard to Season 3 of the show. We got the release date and a new trailer showing off characters from the Swordsmith Village arc. Yet, that’s not all. We also got some big information about events going on alongside the premiere of the new season. So much huge news for Demon Slayer Season 3 all at once.
Season 3 Is Nearly Here
The newest trailer for Demon Slayer Season 3 just came out and it has swept the internet. It shows a timeline of every arc we’ve made it through thus far, all leading up to the long-awaited Swordsmith Village arc. In the trailer, we see characters like Mitsuri Kanroji, Muichiro Tokito, Genya, and of course Tanjiro. We also get an official release date in the trailer, April 2023. Sadly, a specific date in April wasn’t given, but we at least have a fairly specific timeframe in which Season 3 will be kicking off.
What might be the biggest news in the trailer for Demon Slayer fans is the special screening announcement. There was a huge announcement at the tail-end of the trailer promoting an in-theater screening of the Season 3 premiere. This screening will go on in March, meaning fans who see the screening will get to watch Demon Slayer Season 3 up to a month before the rest of the world. This isn’t some limited Japan-only thing either as it’s coming to theaters in over 80 countries across the world.
Basically, this Season 3 premiere is being ticketed in movie theaters like a full anime movie with the final 2 episodes of Season 2 being played as openers to give it a film-length runtime. So it is very likely to come to wherever you are if your local movie theater has shown anime films in the past. Spring 2023 is going to be a huge time for DS fandom.

The year is gearing up to be absolutely stacked with content, and Demon Slayer will be kicking a lot of it off with a spring premiere date.
