Kelly Clarkson Announces End Of Daytime Talk Show

Kelly Clarkson used her fame from American Idol to launch a strong career. In 2019, she took on a new venture as host of a daytime talk show. During one popular segment, the singer performs cover songs of music from all genres. Sadly, Kellyoke is on the way out.

The host confirmed rumors about the future of The Kelly Clarkson Show. Speculation brewed for months after her ex-husband’s death that she didn’t want to do the show anymore. In a statement, she pointed to spending more time with her kids as they mourn the loss of their father as one reason the show is ending.

The talk show wraps up in the fall of 2026, but Kelly Clarkson isn’t leaving the entertainment industry completely. “This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time…you never know where I might show up next,” she assured fans.

Sherri Shepherd Reacts To Sherri Cancellation

Daytime fans received another massive blow just hours after Kelly Clarkson announced the end of her talk show. Dancing With The Stars alum Sherri Shepherd’s self-titled talk show was abruptly canceled. Sherri premiered in 2022 as a replacement for The Wendy Williams Show.

Sherri Shepherd previously co-hosted The View for seven seasons before getting her own talk show. She reacted to the cancellation news on social media. “Wow! I am completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for me and The @sherrishowtv,” she wrote.

The talk show host revealed that she’s been sick with COVID, but promised to share her thoughts on the show’s cancellation.

Another Show In Jeopardy

With daytime TV down two talk shows, you would think that it would bolster the remaining shows. But that may not be the case. The U.S. Sun reported that another daytime talk show is facing cancellation.

Actress Drew Barrymore, American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson, and journalist Tamron Hall are among the hosts of their own daytime talk shows. Drew Barrymore just won a Daytime Emmy for her role as talk show host. However, another show is in danger of cancellation.

“Jennifer’s team is panicking that they will be next on the chopping block after the news about Sherri and Kelly. And truth is, there does not seem to be much of a future for The Jennifer Hudson Show,” a source told the U.S. Sun.

“It doesn’t make money, it doesn’t get good ratings or awards recognition. It get a viral clip here and there but that’s it,” the insider explained.

There hasn’t been an official word on the future of Jennifer Hudson’s daytime talk show.
