Jennette McCurdy on Half His Age, “Creepy” Age Gap Relationship

Adding to the dynamic, she shared, was that he pressured her to engage in sexual activity, admitting she didn’t even know what oral sex was before he explained it to her. 

“I did not know what come was,” she continued. “Now, it’s funny but at the time it was difficult to kind of regroup and figure out, ‘What was that exactly?’”

At the same time, Jennette’s boyfriend would pepper her with praise, calling her “mature,” and saying, “I can’t talk to anyone this way, I can’t believe how smart you are.”

The entire ordeal made Jennette feel completely “powerless,” and she looks back at the time feeling “embarrassed,” calling her ex—who she broke up with after her mom died in 2013—a “f–king loser.”

As she put it, “Can you imagine now being with like a [teenager]? Creepy.”
