With just a few words announcing his coming home to Brooklyn, Fabolous has once again stirred some excitement on Instagram. Underneath the Brooklyn Bridge on a cool evening, Fabolous gave the scenery of the concrete New York cool that catapulted him into the limelight: a studded denim shirt and straightforward black cargo pants. The light of the city reflected off the waters and gave a cinematic framing that screamed without uttering the word “homecoming.”

A wave of comments demanding new music washed over the post, given the caption “Back Home.. & it’s still Loso’s Way 🗽”. One of them, simply and blatantly put it, “We need an album fav!! ⚡️💰” This became the rallying cry within the comment section. Many echoed these sentiments: one nearly yelling, “FAB IS LONG OVER DUE!!”, while another begged, “when we are getting another project.” Repeatedly, the request in the comments went out for a follow up to his 2009 classic, “Loso’s Way,” with one simply stating, “We need that Loso’s way pt2, first is a classic 👏🔥🔥🔥.”
Besides yearning for the music, the post has clearly resonated with all New Yorkers. “This pic says BK and you ain’t even say a word 🔥” says it all for Brooklyn in the few frames of the photo. Another homesick comment spoke, “😍🔥🖤 I’m coming home soon too !! Miss New York so much!” underlining the resonance of Fabolous’ homecoming for displaced New Yorkers.
Things took a direly grim turn when the user from Gaza had the unfortunate need to ask for help in the unfolding humanitarian crisis: “Hunger is killing us. There is nothing left in Gaza except destruction.” That heartbreaking comment fell drastically out of tune with the euphoric tones of so many others. This unexpected interruption was a rude reminder of how global-audience platforms such as Instagram can juxtapose radically different realities in the same comment section.
Even with such a diverse spread of different comments, the hardcore CPLs rallied around Fabolous’ everlasting career: “The mother fucking GOAT!!!! Who 20 plus yrs in with no falloffs?” The interest of these comments for his next move has been further highlighted by his fans. Others spoke of revived projects they would be interested to see again, the “Friday night freestyle tape” series that helped build his early reputation among them.
The visuals of this post were all about what Fabolous wanted to say: the triumphant declaration of his return to the Brooklyn roots while setting the stage for what to come. If that really means some new music is yet to be debated, but the comments section offers one deafening call for it. As encapsulated by a fan: “Do me a favor if u bump into the streets tell em that Fabs back 🫡🫡🫡🫡 salute me 🔥”-a form of respect being paid towards his legacy, while still looking forward to the next big thing.

Notably, Fabolous also recently showcased his admiration for legendary singer Tina Turner, which is highlighted in a tribute at the Helsinki Festival, as detailed in this post. Further evidence of his artistic evolution can be found in his announcement of an encore show in Houston with cryptic New Year lyrics, which can be explored here. Lastly, he has been open about his insights on peace and selectivity in a recent post, addressing themes of personal and artistic growth in this link.
