Does Merle Callahan die in Mayor of Kingstown Season 4’s ending?

Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 sees Merle Callahan seek revenge against Kyle McLusky. After Kyle refuses to help him in prison, Merle kills Kyle’s wife, Tracy. This act pushes Kyle McLusky toward revenge.

In the finale, Merle Callahan sends three gunmen to attack Don’s Diner, where Mike, Kyle, Ian and Stevie are inside. Mike kills two attackers and capture the third. Mike later kills the man during an interrogation when he refuses to reveal Merle Callahan’s location.
