General Hospital fans were left reeling after Jason Morgan appeared to have taken Amelia from Drew’s home without permission. But is it really a kidnapping, or is there more to the story? Here are some spoilers on what’s the latest happening in Willow and Michael’s custody battle.
Did Jason Morgan kidnap Amelia in General Hospital?
Yes, it seems Jason kidnapped Amelia in the show.
It all began outside the ballroom, where Michael reunited with his son, Wiley. The two meet after a long time, with Michael telling Wiley he missed him and joking that he’s grown tall. Wiley excitedly asks if they’re going to his uncle Drew’s home. Michael corrects him, saying they’re headed to Grandma Carly’s home for a sleepover. As Michael and Wiley leave, Willow shows up with Drew, and Wiley says, “Bye Mommy!” to Willow.
Before anyone can process what’s happening, Jason steps in and gives a cryptic warning that following them would not be a good idea. Then comes the scene, which gets deemed as kidnapping.
Willow’s babysitter calls her to inform her about Jason. She reveals that Jason showed up and took Amelia. Instantly, Willow and Drew rush off and eventually go to PCPD to inform Mac about Amelia’s kidnapping.
Nina is blindsided, and she can’t believe Jason actually went as far as taking Amelia away. She pleads with Sonny to convince Michael to find a middle ground, as she hoped his return would cool things down. Sonny, however, is done playing nice. He makes it clear that as long as Drew is in Willow’s life, things are not going to turn out well.
For viewers needing context, this situation stems from Michael’s near-fatal injuries in a fire. While he was incapacitated, Nina Reeves and attorney Martin Grey used an old clause in Michael’s will to grant Willow full custody of the children. Carly, furious over what she saw as an underhanded move, fought back legally.
Now that Michael has returned unexpectedly, the custody battle has taken an even more dramatic turn in General Hospital.
