AMC Networks has shared the teaser trailer for Dark Winds Season 4, the next installment of its acclaimed mystery thriller show with a perfect rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The video offers a glimpse of the Navajo Tribal Police’s newest case involving a missing girl and an obsessive killer.
“Season 4 focuses on the search for a missing Navajo girl, which takes Leaphorn, Chee, and Manuelito from the safety of the Navajo Nation to the gritty terrain of 1970s Los Angeles in a race against the clock to save her from an obsessive killer with ties to organized crime,” reads the show’s new synopsis.

When is the release date for AMC’s Dark Winds Season 4?
Dark Winds Season 4 is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, February 15, 2026, exclusively on AMC and AMC+. The show stars Zahn McClarnon (Westworld, Echo) as Joe Leaphorn, Kiowa Gordon (Roswell, New Mexico) as Jim Chee, Jessica Matten (Rez Ball) as Bernadette, and Deanna Allison (Accused) as Emma. Season 4 will also introduce new characters portrayed by Franka Potente (The Bridge), Isabel DeRoy-Olson (Three Pines), Chaske Spencer (The English), Luke Barnett (For All Mankind), and Titus Welliver (Bosch: Legacy).
Dark Winds is created and executive produced by Graham Roland based on Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee novel series. In addition to starring, McClarnon also executive produces along with George R.R. Martin, Robert Redford, Anne Hillerman, Chris Eyre, Vince Gerardis, and Tina Elmo. McClarnon has also set his directorial debut in Season 4.
