Wendy Stuart and guest co-host John Steven Hellman will be hosting TriVersity Talk! this Wednesday at 7 PM ET with featured guest Kay Gorgeous.
TriVersity Talk! is a weekly web series with featured guests discussing their lives, activism and pressing issues in the LGBTQ Community. With TriVersity Talk!, the goal is to laugh and learn.
TriVersity Talk! Is part of TriVersity’s ICARE Initiative. ICARE stands for Increasing Community Awareness through Relevant Education. ICARE Programs are generously funded by The Greater Pike Community Foundation.
John Steven Hellman
John Steven Hellman is an organizer, drag queen and TriVersity board member! John is currently the State Committee Person for the Pike County Democratic Committee, and most recently, he served as campaign manager for Meg Rosenfeld for State Rep in the 139th District. Additionally, John has over 10 years experience working in non-profit community organizing in NY and PA, and has a Masters Degree in Humanities from New York University.
John also performs in drag as Belle Pepper! Belle has been performing in the NJ/PA/NY Tristate region and virtually for over four years. She won the title of Miss Stanhope in 2021, and has raised over $40,000 for non-profits, political candidates and more. Combining fierce lip syncing, comedy, and consciousness raising, Belle is sure to cleanse your palette, whatever your taste may be.
Kay Gorgeous
Kay Gorgeous is a Drag Queen based out of Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey who made her Drag debut on July 31st, 2021 at the Miss Stanhope Pageant. Kay performs all throughout the tri-state area (NJ,NY,PA).She is the current reigning Miss Congeniality for the Miss Mardi Gras pageant system in New Hope, PA, as well as the First alternate and Miss Congeniality for the Miss Stanhope Pageant system. Kay has been featured in the “World of Wonder Blog” for hosting Catskills Pride. She hosts a monthly show at Ma’s & Papa Joe’s in Port Jervis, New York titled “The Kay Gorgeous Show.” Miss Gorgeous is a part of the rotational cast of queens that performs at Lunar Faire. As well as one of the main cast members for the monthly brunch show “Drag Me to The Rock” at The Rock 1925 in West Orange, NJ. Kay also works with some of the local LGBTQ+ Pride organizations such as EDGE NJ, Sussex County Pride, and Mount Olive Pride. Kay has been hired to perform for Chase Bank’s “National Coming Out Day” event in Harlem, New York. Most Recently, Kay Gorgeous recently debuted a “Drag Paint and Sip Show” as a fundraiser for EDGE NJ. In a short time Kay has been able to make some of her wildest dreams into a reality and is excited to see what else the future holds for her.
