Video Interview: Nick Frost and Bruce Goodison Discuss the Complex Characters and Claustrophobic Scares of BLACK CAB

Kidnapped by their deceptively jovial cab driver (Nick Frost) with a deadly detour in mind, a strained couple (Synnove Karlsen and Luke Norris) are forced to face their dysfunctional relationship while striving to survive the wrath of their captor—and an unsettling paranormal presence—in Black Cab.

With the new supernatural thriller now streaming on Shudder, Daily Dead had the pleasure of talking with star Nick Frost (who also wrote additional material for the film) and director Bruce Goodison about Black Cab, including exploring the compelling complexity of Nick Frost’s character, infusing their ghost story with realism, and setting most of the movie within the claustrophobic confines of a cab.

Synopsis: “When Anne (Synnøve Karlsen) and Patrick (Luke Norris) hail a black cab after a night out their driver (Nick Frost) is chatty, jovial even, but they are in no mood to talk. In fact, the couple is barely on speaking terms. That is, until they realize the driver has no intention of taking them home. Locked in the cab with no means of escape, the driver transports the couple to a stretch of deserted and supposedly haunted road. But what is his purpose? Is he mad or just plain evil? And why has he selected Anne and Patrick as his victims?”
