Viewers are curious to know whether HBO has renewed or canceled I Love LA Season 2. Created by Rachel Sennott, the comedy series centers on a close friends group, who reunite after many years. Is I Love LA canceled or renewed for Season 2?
HBO has renewed I Love LA for Season 2. At the time of writing, a release date hasn’t been announced.

In I Love LA’s case, it has mostly positive reviews from critics, earning an 85% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The series is averaging about 2 million viewers across streaming. Given the series’ strong reviews and solid viewership, a renewal from the network and creators was likely.
In a conversation with Deadline, Sennott revealed that she pitched the series story as an “entourage for internet girls” while also revealing how she used her own experiences to shape and visualize the show. She said, “I think part of it was going through my Saturn Return, and I feel like this thing sort of happens — my early 20s were really chaotic. My mid-20s, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m locking in. I know my life. I’m done.’ And then at the end of my 20s, I feel like that kind of early version of myself came [out] and things got chaotic again, which was scary, but good.”
Sennott also shared that the characters of Tallulah and Maia, in particular, are inspired by her younger self during her time living in New York. “In a way, Tallulah almost represents me when I was younger, me when I lived in New York, and Maya is sort of like me where I was a couple years ago, which is like the most anxious, control-freaky [person], and sort of like the collision of the two,” she added.
The sophomore season’s release date has yet to be announced.
