The dissolution of one of the 2020s’ most shocking celebrity reunions was made official this past Monday, Jan. 6 (no insurrection jokes, please) — bringing an end to a whirlwind saga that began way back in 2021, when Ben and Jen reunited before getting officially married the following year.
Since we first learned of the pair’s split, there’s been a lot of ground to cover. We’ve bore witness to J.Lo’s commemorative thirst traps, as well as reports that Ben and Jen were seen “kissing” at a family brunch earlier this fall — before other sources suggested that it was a public show of solidarity and not much more.
And if a new report from People is to be believed, it seems like J.Lo is really, really ready to move on from this whole ordeal — and it doesn’t sound like she’s looking back with rose-colored glasses on, either.
“She’s in a really good place and just wants to close the door on this crazy chapter,” a source told the publication.
“The fairy tale she was promised turned out to be a nightmare in the end.”
Y-i-k-e-s. Well, hey, here’s to moving forward, right? We’ve reached out to Jennifer’s people to see if there’s any further comment — we’ll let you know if we hear anything back.
