God’s Game We Play episode 5 recap
The episode starts with Nei Reckless reliving her elimination from one of the games in her sleep. She sees Fay’s team versus the Uroboros on TV and decides she wants to follow him. Elsewhere, Leoleshea asks Miranda for a gate so they can play a game, but none is available. Miranda tells them their feat of beating the Uroboros has inspired many players to play, resulting in the lack of space.
However, she offers an alternative by asking them to compete in the World Games Tour against other cities. Upon arriving, they meet Nei Reckless, who immediately asks Fay to take her as his woman. Fay runs away with Leshea and Pearl, but Nei follows them with her Arise. They arrive at the branch in the city and run into Dax, another super rookie with 3 wins and 1 loss.
He disregards Leoleshea and asks Fay to join his team, but Fay politely declines. In the room, Fay finds out Nei’s real reason for quitting and feels bad for ignoring her. Dax runs into Nei and asks her to join his team, but she immediately declines, saying she wants to follow Fay. She bets on the match and says Fay will win; if he loses, she will join. The episode ends with the match against Dax about to start.
