After the mixed response to its gameplay, Warner Bros and Rocksteady have decided to delay Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League once again. Originally set for May 26 (after it was delayed from its original 2022 release), the game will be pushed back to February 2, 2024.
The official Twitter for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League posted the following message in regards to the delay:
“We have made the tough but necessary decision to take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players. Thank you to our amazing community for the continued support, patience and understanding. There is much more to share in the months ahead and we look forward to seeing you in metropolis next year.”
Set in the same continuity as Rocksteady’s Arkham trilogy, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark face off against the Justice League after Braniac has managed to possess and control Earth’s finest. Each member of the Suicide Squad features a unique skillset and powerful abilities both in and out of combat.
The game will also mark longtime Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy‘s final time as The Dark Knight.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
